Welcome to the website for the "Higher Education Cooperation for Forest Landscape Restoration and Sustainable Livelihoods in Bangladesh and Vietnam (FORSU)" project. Our initiative aims to strengthen higher education institutions in Bangladesh and Vietnam, focusing on Forest Landscape Restoration education that meets the needs of graduates, employers, and society at large. We are committed to offering a curriculum that blends technical and socio-economic sciences and includes practical components like fieldwork, case studies, and research. This hands-on approach is designed to foster sustainable learning and strategic partnerships, particularly with industry and private sector partners. Our diverse objectives range from enhancing institutional partnerships between universities in Bangladesh, Vietnam, and the EU to creating new interdisciplinary curricula. We are also working to develop and upgrade BSc/MSc courses to better align with national and regional needs, while incorporating innovative teaching methods to improve education accessibility. In addition, we aim to improve graduate employability by tailoring the curriculum to market demands and establishing internship opportunities. Our efforts extend to facilitating North-South-South cooperation to improve teaching quality and fostering better access to national and international funding for academic collaboration. Feel free to explore our site to learn more about how we are making a difference in the fields of education and sustainable development.
