The final session (3rd day) of online training on pedagogy was held today (10 November 2023) under the “Erasmus+ Higher Education Cooperation for Forest Landscape Restoration and Sustainable Livelihoods in Bangladesh and Vietnam” (FORSU) project supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The FORSU project is being implemented in close collaboration with 5 partner institutions from 4 different countries. The partners are from Bangladesh (Rangamati Science and Technology University, and Patuakhali Science and Technology University), Vietnam (Tay Nguyen University, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry, and Hue University), the University of Freiburg, Germany, and the University of Helsinki, Finland. The main objectives of the FORSU project are to strengthen the capacity of partner HEIs in Bangladesh and Vietnam to contribute to well-functioning, relevant, and accessible Forest Landscape Restoration education to meet the needs of graduates and employers, and for the broader benefit of the environment and society. As a part of the FORSU project, a three-day session (13 October, 20 October, and 10 November 2023) on pedagogy training (online) was organized with the partners’ faculty members. Participants joined the training sessions spontaneously and learned about constructive alignment objectives, contents, methods, and evaluation including designing objectives, designing of evaluation, and constructive alignment cycle, storyboarding, design thinking, development of course curriculum, and testing. The training session was facilitated by Dr. Jani Holopainen, Adjunct Professor, at the University of Helsinki, Finland, and a welcome speech was provided by Mr. Dipjoy Chakma, Coordinator of the FORSU project, and Adrian Monge, FORSU project, University of Helsinki, Finland. The project is Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
