The FORSU project Consortium meeting was held to review the project activities and discuss future actions

An online partners consortium meeting was held on 8 April 2025 to update the FORSU project progress. Mr. Dipjoy Chakma, Project Coordinator of FORSU project from the University of Helsinki, Finland briefed the objectives of the meeting and agenda including extension of project activities up to 31 May 2026. Then he requested partners to share the project progress activities. All partners representatives from University of Freiburg, Germany, Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh, Rangamati Science and Technology University, Bangladesh and Vietnam universities from Hue University, Tay Nguyen University and Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry updated the project activities following the agenda (equipment procurement, curriculum development, ongoing activities and upcoming events). The participants reported that project activities are going well and sought consent and suggestions from the Helsinki and Freiburg universities for further improvement of the project activities in terms of curriculum development and capacity building and procurement. FORSU coordinator has assured the partners to provide any kind of support to run the project activities smoothly. In addition, FORSU coordinator mentioned that FORSU partners will participate in the CIFOR-ICRAF supported workshop to be held in Bogor, Indonesia from 14 to 18 April 2025. This year (October), FORSU team from Helsinki and Freiburg has planned to visit Bangladesh and Vietnam to monitor the project activities. The project closing meeting will be held in Vietnam in April 2026. The FORSU project has been Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
