On May 19, 2025, as part of the 2025 Science and Technology Activity Plan of Tay Nguyen University and the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, a training workshop titled “Modeling in Scientific Research: Theory and Practice” was successfully held at Meeting Room 3.1, attracting the active participation of many lecturers and researchers from across the university.
This training is one of the key activities within the FORSU Project – Higher Education Cooperation for Forest Landscape Restoration and Sustainable Livelihoods in Bangladesh and Vietnam, funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme.
The workshop aimed to share in-depth knowledge and practical applications of modeling in scientific research. Special attention was given to the potential for applying modeling approaches in scientific studies related to the Central Highlands region, opening up new opportunities for research collaboration and innovation.
A highlight of the event was the participation and contribution of an invited speaker from Dalhousie University, Canada, whose expertise enriched the discussions and helped connect theoretical knowledge with real-world research applications. The presence of university leaders, faculty members, and representatives from various departments added to the dynamic and collaborative atmosphere of the session.
The organizing committee extends its sincere thanks to the university leadership, the Office of Science and International Relations, and all participating lecturers and researchers for their valuable contributions, which greatly contributed to the success of the training.
It is expected that the knowledge and experiences gained from this workshop will serve as a valuable foundation for strengthening research capacity and advancing scientific and technological development at Tay Nguyen University in the near future.
