An online training on pedagogy was held today (13 October 2023) under the ”Erasmus+ Higher Education Cooperation for Forest Landscape Restoration and Sustainable Livelihoods in Bangladesh and Vietnam (FORSU)” project. The main purpose of the pedagogy training is to build up the teaching capacity of FORSU partner universities faculty members. The partners are from Bangladesh (Rangamati Science and Technology University, and Patuakhali Science and Technology University), Vietnam (Tay Nguyen University, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University), University of Freiburg, Germany, and University of Helsinki, Finland. In total 35 participants attended the training, and learned about effective teaching methods including Blooms taxonomy, direct and indirect measurements of learning, 21st century skills, constructive alignment (objectives, contents, methods, evaluations), and design thinking . The training session was facilitated by Dr. Jani Holopainen, Adjunct Professor, University of Helsinki, Finland, and welcome speech was provided by Mr. Dipjoy Chakma, Coordinator of the FORSU project, University of Helsinki, Finland. The project is Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
